3.17 billion euros traded in the first quarter of 2026. That’s up 14.4% from Q4 2025 and up 29.6% year-over-year. A strong signal: amid turbulent markets, French investors have clearly chosen to take action rather than remain on the sidelines.
BEST Unlimited/Infinite Turbos continue to dominate (37.4% of volume), up from 35.2% in the previous quarter. Leverage & Short products saw a slight decline in relative share (12.5% vs. 14.5%): overall, investors have increasingly favored Turbos to express their directional views, whether bullish or bearish.
On the underlying assets side, a few trends are worth noting:
- Indices: still in the lead with 49.8% of trading volume in leveraged products. The CAC 40 remains the favorite (25.2%), ahead of the NASDAQ 100 (10.3%) and the DAX 40 (4.6%).
- Stocks: Tesla retains the top spot (1.4%), ahead of Nvidia (1.0%) and TotalEnergies (1.0%). Société Générale enters the top 6, driven by a flurry of news.
- Commodities: Gold remains a must-have (7.3% of volumes), but oil is gaining ground—ICE Brent and Light Crude Oil are both up compared to previous quarters, driven by global supply tensions.
A solid first quarter, setting the tone for the rest of the year.
